My Thoughts On… The Last Exorcism

jjf Before you go see this movie you must first ask yourself how much you like disappointment, and how badly do you really want to be disappointed. Now while I wasn’t entirely disappointed with the movie the ending did leave me wanting to drop the “WTF” bomb very loudly. I’m not going to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it, however, just know that the ending is totally awful. It’s not like we didn’t see it coming, you find out how the movie ends about as soon as the “REAL” action starts happening midway.

It starts out very slow, giving you the run down on this preachers rise to divine power by age 10, and how by the time he is middle age he just doesn’t believe in the same manner anymore as he once did, because of some traumatic family event..blah blah blah.

It gets a little more exciting in the middle, then a little more towards the end, then it starts to go down hill, and then hill just levels out in a valley of awful, predictable-ness.

One thing I must say that was done right about this movie was the casting of the role for Nell Sweetzer played by Ashley Bell. Its just amazing how they can take a girl so beautiful and just make her look like an absolute train wreck-mess-innocent jail bait-crazy- psychotic-flexible- young lady.

Beautiful "Bell”

All in all there was some moments in this movie I really enjoyed, and some I utterly hate.
