My Thoughts On… The Last Exorcism

jjf Before you go see this movie you must first ask yourself how much you like disappointment, and how badly do you really want to be disappointed. Now while I wasn’t entirely disappointed with the movie the ending did leave me wanting to drop the “WTF” bomb very loudly. I’m not going to spoil the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it, however, just know that the ending is totally awful. It’s not like we didn’t see it coming, you find out how the movie ends about as soon as the “REAL” action starts happening midway.

last_exorcism

It starts out very slow, giving you the run down on this preachers rise to divine power by age 10, and how by the time he is middle age he just doesn’t believe in the same manner anymore as he once did, because of some traumatic family event..blah blah blah.

It gets a little more exciting in the middle, then a little more towards the end, then it starts to go down hill, and then hill just levels out in a valley of awful, predictable-ness.

One thing I must say that was done right about this movie was the casting of the role for Nell Sweetzer played by Ashley Bell. Its just amazing how they can take a girl so beautiful and just make her look like an absolute train wreck-mess-innocent jail bait-crazy- psychotic-flexible- young lady.

All in all there was some moments in this movie I really enjoyed, and some I utterly hate.

I <3 Nerds

This year I did all my school clothes shopping almost on Forever21.com and after dropping lets just say quite a bit of money I found a new category on the Forever21 website. Its called Forever 21 Twist I think it just might be the best collection so to speak that Forever21 has come out with thus far.

So… I kidnapped their look book and decided to post it here for all of you who haven’t seen it :)

I find all of these looks adorable, the only thing is, is that I can’t see a lot of everyday girls pulling them off. Of course they look wonderful on this stick thin 13 year old boy body model with the pouty lips, but how many of us really look like this? Regardless, I would probably try to pull them off.

All of these clothes can be found here: http://www.forever21.com/category.asp?catalog_name=FOREVER21&category_name=Twist_RevengeOfNerds&Page=all

My thoughts on the Vampires Suck Parody…

While I am not a crazed Twilight Saga fan (yes I read all the books back in the day, and have attended all of the midnight premiers for the movies so far and will attend the future ones), I just had to see the movie that just had to be made to lighten the mood for those so called crazed fans. The choke hold the Twilight Saga has on the minds of today’s teeny boppers and house hold moms is as reckless as “dating Chris Brown”.

vampire_posterWe’ve all seen the Epic Movie, Scary Movie’s 1- A Mili’, Date Movies, and all the other “whatever” Movies, and since the vampire dealio is the new “trend” it seems like it was only fitting that Vampires Suck was made, and I mean come on! It was a rather brilliant idea that somebody had to come up with. With all of the Twilight, and New Moon Parodies on YouTube it was fitting that someone harness that way to seriously taken Saga and turn it into something we can all laugh at.

A few things though really set this movie apart from all the other “whatever” Movies.

For one, if you notice all the actors actually portray their characters well. I mean, if I had never seen the actual Twilight movies, had only read the books, then saw this movie, I’d find the characters believable. While being incredibly angry that I saw a parody version of the books before the actual films.

While the movie has some very cheap jokes that make you go “What?” at times, many of them tie to the Twilight Saga well and make you wonder why Stephanie Meyer would let this movie belong in the world of her new wave vampire craze she seems to have brought out.

Another crazy thing about this movie though, is if you really look at the actors they actually are better looking for the most part than the actors in the Twilight Saga. The werewolves all have actual abs, no flabby werewolves here.

Battle of the Jacobs

Jacob White vs... Jacob Black

Chris Riggi Vs. Taylor Lautner

ChrisRiggiMilitaryDMNY            Taylor%20Lautner

I’m just going to have to go with the Gossip Girl hottie over the Werewolf heart throb. I mean… His abs were very nice, and not looking like a 14 year old boy with short hair is very appealing.

Edward Sullen vs... Edward Cullen

Matt Lanter vs... Robert Pattinson

matt-lanter   robert-pattinson-tie

I’m a little torn here, Matt obviously has the nicer body when it comes down to the whole “revealing” scene, but Pattinson just has that beautiful to die for jaw line… But he has that awkward pasty, hairy chest… But he has really nice hair. The spraying of the Big Sexy hair in the cafeteria scene of Vampires Such was price less. I can vouch for Big Sexy hair spray any day! I’ll cal this a win for Pattinson, just barely though.

Becca Crane vs... Bella Swan

Jenn Proske vs... Kirsten Stewart

proske

In my opinion hands down Proske is prettier than Stewart, and in terms of Bella Swan the most awkward individual wins and Proske is both awkward, gorgeous, and pulls of blinking lingerie. Easy winner.

I’d say Vampires Suck is a must for anyone who is to wrapped up in seriousness of the Twilight Saga, like some of the hardcore fans and if your looking for cheap, easy laughs its good for that too.

One thing I don’t agree with though, at the end of the movie when the little girl bashes Edward Sullen in the skull and says “Team Jacob, bitch” I must disagree.

I say: “Team Jasper, Bitch!” :)

4 Simple Goals.

4sg

In roughly 36(ish) days I’ll be leaving for Oregon State, in Corvallis, OR. Besides being beyond excited and slowly starting to get things done, I am going to set 4 simple goals for myself. I’ve been inspired by the challenge from the  A Beautiful Mess blog. Only instead trying to make my goals by 2011, I want to make them within in 36 days, before I leave.

1. Work on getting my beautiful horse Sparkle back into shape. Sparkle really is one of the most beautiful (compact, stock looking) Arabians I have ever seen, and when they say horses are like their owners, well she is just like me. She knows what she wants to do and how she wants to do it, only I need to make this about what I want to do and how I want to do it.

2. Start packing up my room to move. I still haven’t started getting really anything together to move to Corvallis next month. I still need to weed through all of my clothes and figure out what I really need and what I don’t!

3. Connect with friends I haven’t been seeing as much. It’s really sad, but I’ve really fallen out with quite a few people who use to be really close friends over the last couple of years and I don’t really want to leave yet without making things better with them. As good as I am with pretending like nothing is wrong I hate not being on the best of terms with people. I feel like this is really important and needs to be done, or I’ll have that little voice in the back of my head nagging me for quite awhile.

4. Finish projects that I have started. I have quite a few crafty projects that I really need to finish, most of which have already been started! I still have another pair of shoes to finish decoupaging, a necklace with expensive beads waiting to be strung, a sewing machine that still hasn’t been used, and lots of other stuff!

Part of the challenge was to pick a reward for yourself for the end of each of your goals. Well, they all have pretty easy to pick rewards. For goal 1 I’ll have a horse less resistant, goal 2 a clean and organized room as well as being ready to move! Goal 3 hopefully will leave me on better terms with old friends and goal 4 will give me some wonderful stuff that I made myself!

I’ll be posting updates as I achieve my goals.

Story of my life.

I feel like everything is happening so fast! Exactly 47 days until I leave the land of tumble weeds and head to Corvallis! While I am anxiously awaiting for those 47 days to pass as quickly as possibly my to-do list that needs to be completed in 46 days is still growing… I still need to find all the little things I’ll need for my dorm, start weeding out everything I SHOULDN’T take, organize for a giant yard sale, and many other things.

However, my brain is recently obsessively distracted by thoughts of fair coming up over the next couple of days and the fact that I am hardly ready for it… Working, reading, riding horses, working the animals, napping and be lazy seems to be all I want to do. So many projects to still do and adding onto that discomfort.. This is my last fair where I will be a youth participant :( I really do love the 4-H and FFA programs and I don’t care who you are or what you think about them, they really are great for kids.

I really really really want to purchase a computer scrap booking program! I have my eye on one down at Office Depot (or is it Office Max? I don’t know I’ve only been there once..) . I really want it so I can better record my life once I move and over time and what not, in a cute, color-full fashion. It’s on my long list of purchases to make…

Kayla wants me to blog about going school clothes shopping with $250, so that will be placed on my to-do list too!

I also hope to take more pictures here soon.

Is everyone else excited for fair to come?

Ripped.

After watching this video would you have guessed that it was about denim jeans? All the designs by the brand Resin are really amazing. I would love to own several pairs of their skinny jeans. Unfortunately, I am sure they are far out of the budget that I usually give myself when buying jeans.

After picking up this months issue of NYLON-The Denim Issue, I decided to blog about some of the new jeans that are coming out, that I really really like, but won’t be able to afford. A girl can always dream, right?

Volcom is teaming up with Jennifer Herrema to make 13 pairs of absolutely destroyed looking pants for the Fall/Holiday season. Only 300 pairs will be sold in stores across the  nation and I hope to find one of these pairs of pants! However the pants in this picture are not one of the 13. www.volcom.com
